Live staking numbers, straight from the chain

S4 Labs APR reads the Alien Base 2.0 staking pool on Base directly and shows what it pays right now. No middleman price feeds, no accounts, no wallet connection.

How the APR is worked out

The staking pool holds esALB and govALB. It streams two rewards to everyone in it: ALB and WETH. Each stream pays a fixed number of tokens per second until its window closes, about 7 days after rewards were last added.

APR = 31,536,000 × (ALB per second + WETH per second ÷ ALB price in WETH) ÷ total staked

  • ALB rewards are paid in the same token you stake, so their percentage return does not depend on price.
  • WETH rewards are turned into ALB terms by dividing by the ALB price in WETH, read from the ALB/WETH Uniswap V3 pool.
  • USD values use the ALB/WETH pool price times the Chainlink ETH/USD feed on Base. The thin ALB/USDC pool is not used because it is easy to move.
  • Your share is your staked amount divided by the whole pool. Projected rewards are that share of each stream, per day, month and year.

Honest limits

  • It is a snapshot of the current rate. When new rewards are added the rate resets, and the APR falls as more people stake.
  • Each batch pays over a window of about 7 days. Between a window closing and the next batch arriving, that stream pauses. The APR shown is the stream rate, the same basis as the Alien Base app, and the home page flags any pause.
  • Numbers can differ slightly from the Alien Base app because of timing and rounding. The official app is the source of truth for claiming.
  • govALB in a wallet is shown but not given a USD value, because it has no market price.

Free public API

The site uses the same endpoints anyone can call. Responses are cached for about 30 seconds and limited to 60 requests a minute per IP.

  • /api/alb/apr, /api/alb/price, /api/alb/stats
  • /api/alb/wallet?address=0x…
  • /api/alb/rewards?stake=1000000 (add &new=1 for a stake not yet in the pool)

Add ?format=text to any of them for plain CSV, or &field=apr for one value. That works in Google Sheets:
=IMPORTDATA("https://apr.s4labs.xyz/api/alb/apr?format=text&field=apr")
